Andrew's Travels

Head over to my website for the latest update and my experiences of living and working in China.

We lived and worked in China for over a year. Our home was in a local area in the center of Shanghai, an amazing large metropolis of over 27,000,000 people. It was a blistering, overwhelming and awe-inspiring start to our international careers.

On my many travels around China, I was fortunate to spend time in the ancient city of Xian. The city and the Silk Road that started and ended from its West Gate, play a significant part in the story of Wang Xiao Xiao in The Happiness of Many Lives. There are the ghosts of history around every corner, but it was clear to me that right here was a story that I wanted to tell.

Website up and running

Exciting times for me!

As my book comes closer to its publication date, I have a new website to share more about myself and my novel The Happiness of Many Lives.

On the website you will find introductions to each of the main characters as well as my my musings on the places that inspired the novel. First up is China, the setting for Wang Xiao Xiao's story. I lived, worked and traveled in China for over a year and the country had a life-changing influence on me. It was the start of us truly living internationally. There was no going back after China!

Starting my author blog

After years of writing, and then re-writing, and then preparing, and then nervously checking and adjusting, pausing to fuss before tweaking again a little, it is time to publish my first novel - The Happiness of Many Lives.

And that means it is also time to get out there into the web of world-wideness. It is time, as they say, to put myself out there alongside my novel.

And so, here it is. My author blog. A part of me out-there.

I'm putting myself in other places too ...

I hope you can connect with my work and my ideas in whichever part of me that is out-there works for you.
